it's amazing to think - how 1 goal can separate heaven and hell, and yet bring together a team's story....back to a full circle.

this had been really a heart-stopping game, considering:

-the no. of times the ball was shot at our goal,

-the no. of times the opponents were awarded free kicks

-the mistake we made that almost awarded them a penalty....and the list goes on.

sometimes, some things are meant to be. hope this can inspire the team to move to greater heights. the full circle may have been drawn, but it is time now to make the circle bigger. beyond the comments and negatives that others may say about us, know that there are pple out there who truly support us in our dreams. for vj, girls. =)

be nice to me. =)

hey, went for my 1st-ever blood donation today! it's the 1st thing i've ever done using the privilege of being an 18-year-old. cos 16-, 17-year-olds need parent consent & my parents didn't let me do it last year...this year, heck lah. lol.

anyway, as with most 1st-times, my blood donation turned out, well, not as successful as i would have liked it to be. apparently i was too tense (yes, i do have a small phobia of needles) and so when the "yakault straw" needle was inserted, the blood gushed out under my skin. so now i have this HUGE bruise on my arm in all shades of pink, red, maroon and purple. had to dress the wound twice and ice it as well. lol. not to mention that they almost couldn't find my vein before that.

think the funniest part was the end when they needed to make their last collection of blood in test-tubes. cos my blood flowed slower by that time, so it was literally dripping (drop-by-drop!) into the tube! O.o ended up having 2 nurses massaging my arm in order to get the blood into the tube. i can only sit there and laugh my head off. lol.

anyway, in case you're wondering, even tho mine didn't go very well, the process wasn't painful. (it did take me a long time tho...1.5 hrs!) poor muzzie, his blood spurted out, so there was a big blood patch on his shirt. erps. >_<

that, is what my life has been for the past few weeks. and it will be for a few more weeks too. just finished the DANCE part today, which was the feeling fab! workshop. my biggest highlight for this week. lol. yea, it was really fun! groove & shake those butts! lol. too bad it was only an hour long. nvm, i'm quite certain i'll sign up for a dance course when i graduate. hopefully can find a hot guy who can groove too! :p

got bio test tmr. haven't studied anything yet. still gotta work out my stuff for council room initiation plans in tandem with investiture programmes. hai.

off i should go then, to study my bio....and practice my dance moves! (esp the 'humping' move! lol. :p)

quickie.

just a quick update here before i return to the realm of tutorials. lol.

just returned home from the sorsilamban 2006 @ mediacorp studios. if you (from VJC) don't know what that is, it's the inter-jc tamil debates final. VJC vs JJC. anyway, must say that even tho i didn't understand a lot of stuff, tamil debate is actually quite entertaining. super animated, dramatic and hilarious. some debaters looked as if they were dancing/singing on the podium. lol. results-wise, JJC won the championship. BUT our dear MOHAN won the prize for best speaker!! woohoo! congrats!

in the FA semi-finals played between Chelsea and Liverpool this morning (12.45am), LIVERPOOL WON 2-1!!! wah hahah!! so happy!! SEE, only liverpool has the ability to beat chelsea down flat! HAH! in your face, mourinho! maybe it's a coincidence that liverpool will beat chelsea when they meet in their 5th head-on match (as with last year's champions league semis). maybe not. whatever it is, liverpool will never walk alone. :)

hah. i didn't get to play. but nvm lah. the game was nice to watch and the team did a good job. well done, girls! hope i can live up to the team's expectations when i get my turn on the field. >_< lol. was funny having tyh around to watch our match. his reactions to our game...hilarious. better than scary lah huh. :p poor him was abandoned, all alone, on the grandstand when the whole bunch of non-players shifted to the other side to watch the game. really a funny sight! :p

yayness!

HAH! i finally get to go out gallavanting!! yes, it is so terrible of me but oh what the heck. i didn't go out for very long but it's good enough to keep me going. it's been eons since i last got out of my school-soccer-council-home-family life. i jus want to keep my social life in check yea? lol.

anyway, back to my...lol, cool 'date' with tiq. it's cool cos of the weather lah huh. :p actually wanted to go gelare but then it started raining so went to eat ya kun kaya toast instead. next time then. the shops didn't really have anything that i fancy (mainly cos i don't really go for spring/summer designs) but thank goodness also or else i'll be tempted to spend. heh. tiq was as usual...sugar high. lol. she found this nice sweet yellow dress. not bad i'd say, just a tad pricey. find something(s) to go along with it (tiq, u-know-what-i-mean) then yea, it'll be good. ;)

THE GIRLS' SOCCER SEASON STARTS TOMORROW!! AHH!! i guess everyone's freaking excited and nervous at the same time. eek. lol. pray hard that the weather holds and that all's gonna be well. this is IT. watch out for the girls in yellow! :) :)

Contentment.

bleah. got a band 2 for PW. ok lah i guess, though i was rooting for band 1 (who doesn't anyway?). it's one of those things where being sad seems like an overreaction, and yet there isn't much to be happy about either.

watched Chicago on tv last night. man, i was TOTALLY blown away by the movie. the music, the dance, the glitz & glamour, the filmography...oh gosh. no wonder it won the best picture award. it's definitely topping my list for favourite movie. now to find the soundtrack. heh. :) :)

the soccer competition's coming up really soon. can feel the adrenaline building up...the nerves are wreaking up too. ok lah, so far it's not that bad, but i think by next week i'll be freaking out already. :p note to self: calm down.

hmm. just writing this cos i feel like doing so: i'm happy with our friendship now. it's finally adjusted back to a nice comfortable position. :) :) i hope things will stay this way, for there are sweet memories that i wanna keep, and stuff that ought to be kept on the shelves to collect dust.

feeling quite distant from everything recently. and i really hate this feeling. 1 soccer match support is perfect evidence. neither here. nor there. i just wish that i had more time, to spend with my dearies, my friends, my teachers. for when i have the time for them, they are not free. yet when they have time for me, i hate to reject them just cos i don't have the time. i wanna meet up, go out, have a nice peaceful lunch, talk, and catch up. that's all.

and sometimes, when the loneliness hits, can't help but wish...that i could call someone my own. ugh. >_<

Barney is a dinosaur, from our imagination.

well well, it was cher li's birthday today and someone gave him a big purple TALKING dinosaur that goes by the name of Barney. surely we all know who that is. jus gotta give him a big hug and he'll start talking. lol. anyway, during math lec today, one of the 05S22 girls was hugging onto Barney. haha. guess what? Barney suddenly blurted out "hello friend!". the look on the face of the lecturer (ms ding), was hilarious!! lol.

by some funny stroke of luck, i ended up having only Barney sitting next to me on my right during chem lec. then to my left was some girl that couldn't stop talking to her friend next to her. must say that out of the two, Barney made a better lecture buddy. hahah! mr yeo was picking on pple who talk and talk during lec, so he was like: "3rd row from the front in the centre block....erm, 1st chair is the red thingy, 2nd, then 3rd chair....yea, you. answer the question." LOL. now we all know what that 'red' thing is. duh. it's purple lah. i was feeling weird to have the LT staring at my row while mr yeo pointed Barney out. hahah. :p

okie, so that's that of my experience with Barney. on to other stuff. team cut episode 2 happened today. was feeling freaking scared the whole day. it was quite an emo thing for some of the players. expected. thank my lucky stars and all those who have kept me in their prayers that i've made it through into the team. hope that those who are upset for whatever reasons will find the strength to accept the decision.

in hindsight.

this week has been a very sucky week in general. i shall not elaborate the rotten apples here.

thankfully, i have musicfest as my only bright spark for this week. yea, tho it feels weird to have to accept that it's our last council event, but oh what the heck. we all had lots of fun. heh. :) i was the bouncer on the 2nd floor!! lol. man, i love the title alone. ah hahah. george said i'll probably get bounced myself cos i'm so puny. nvm, i had sean as my fellow bouncer, and as usual, my straight face & loud voice would have scared pple away alr. hehe. think i made some pple angry along the way but heck lah. the after-party was fun fun FUN!! lots of photos, bottle-popping, sparkling (non-alcoholic) juice, and plain fooling around. can't wait to get the photos from the camera pple. *whee* a job well-done by the music fest ad-hoc (vernie, yvette, john, francis, xuhuai, yiyun, jie qiong, rachel & david)!

had a bit of fun from the aprils' fool day 'celebrations' too. from the chinese orchestra playing the national anthem (i personally think they sounded really good!) to the funny signs around sch to the hilarious announcements. pity some pple didn't have a good sense of humour. bah.

oh yes, another little happy thing is that the team has finally got our very own jerseys!! :) :)

bah. lazy to write anything more. talk to me in person yea? lol. let's hope next week will be better. heh. (yea, si hui, got your tag. shall do it another day cos it's damn long!!)
