random but not-so-random thoughts/feelings
so many things have been happening lately that i'm lazy to blog it all down. and yet sometimes the whole post comes to my mind and i find it wasted that i don't put it here. haha. so oh well, don't be surprised if you see back-dated posts popping up all of a sudden cos i may jus start rummaging thru my thoughts again for those days that i wanted to post but didn't. :p
and so tonight was team night. firstly, a job well done to the juniors, aside from fooling all the seniors and coaches into dressing in formal/evening wear. haha. liked the CD case you all did...very thoughtful and meaningful. :)
however, as with previous team nights, team gatherings, matches etc, i cannot help but get this whole rush of emotions that chokes me. yea, all the good ones & the bad ones too. ok, disclaimer first. if any junior, senior, or coach that chances upon this, this is my blog, a space for me to express my personal thoughts. i respect all of you by not saying this outright, but if you do know what i am refering to, then pls respect my feelings as well cos ultimately, my experience with this team is much different from the others. thank you.
aft tonight, i really felt like crying on someone's shoulder. (thks tiq for being there over the phone) not cos this was 'goodbye' with the team, but much as some of the pple were unable of let go of a loss, i have yet come to terms with my loss that came with the gain of this team. i would say it's a sense of unjust, to see the way some things are being done. understandable, yes, but i still cannot let go. so pardon me if i seem cold or unreasonable. i've tried my best to control myself these 2 years alr.
that being said, i don't think i harbour any ill-feelings towards the team. jus that i'm not as close to the team as i would have liked to be. must admit, i did feel a sense of betrayal during the team selection incident. some things that were said really hurt that time, tho in hindsight i have forgiven cos i can see that they weren't intentional. i was partly at fault perhaps, so that is rested and put behind me alr.
i seem a bit two-faced rite? ranting abt all the bad stuff jus aft team nite is over. don't worry, i haven't forgotten all the good times, the laughter, and the lovely feeling of winning as a team in front of the school. i merely wanna let out the burden of emotions that i can never let out in front of everyone.
there are times when pple say 'hey, look at what you've done!' and it seems so surreal to me. all i can say is that this team wasn't set up by me alone. :)

upper-dee-dates!
okie, jus a few short updates abt me. haha.
i cut my hair! short! so that's good bye long locks and hellooo funky punky hair! wah hah. :p
jus came home from watching 'open season' this morning. as expected, it's the usual kid-oriented style of animation. guess the most interesting part was the war against hunters part...which wasn't that much the focus of the story. i think the way the characters make use of the rabbits in the movie is even more hilarious. gosh, they toss rabbits like free! O.o lol.
i'll be off to sunway lagoon over the next few days so whoopee doo! haha. don't miss me pple! :p

start the ball rolling...
ok, so the stupid post text editor is still cranky. -.-"
i've been fortunate enough to catch some football action lately, first with my juniors' match against UWC on thurs and watching the finals of the men's football in the Asian games (iraq vs qatar).
brings back tons of memories i must say. (yes queen, i know i'm nostalgic) man, i sure miss the adrenaline rush when playing on the field. esp when whacking the ball as a striker. heh. :p playing on the field in the councillors' friendly was damn shiok. haha.
but watching the dynamics of the junior team and watching football games now sometimes also reminds me of stuff during my term in soccer that i'm not proud of, and questions whose answers i dare not ask for. sigh.
yea, i know i think too much. haha. :p

max macs.
today was rather interesting. followed my mum on a crew excursion out to the warehouse-cum-bakery of mcdonalds' (yup, my mum works at macs part-time. :p)
the warehouse was in different sections, each with a different temperature setting so as to store different stuff. and so the 1st room was slightly warmer than room temp, mainly for storing dry items, like the papers, uniforms etc. then the 2nd room was abt 15 degrees C i think, for the usual stuff you throw in the fridge. the 3rd was abt 2 degrees C, for stuff you throw in your freezer. THEN comes the shocker. the 4th room was a freakin' freezing -21 degrees C!! man, it's like you step inside and your clothes will freeze up also. stayed in there for 1 min max and then i couldn't take it anymore. additional clothes weren't supplied so i was only in my shirt & jeans. haha. san should know that i saw the subway cold cut trio prep sets in the 4th room. :p *brrr!!*
the bakery was, on the contrary, hot of cos. tons of conveyor belts all over the place. haha. pretty interesting to see all the baking stuff automated (try imagining burger buns being suctioned up from the baking tray & you'll be close). haha. pity they didn't allow photography so cannot show.
anyway, the stupid blogger refuses to load the text editor properly so i'm stuck with ugly grey posts on my blog. ugh. let's hope this thing gets fixed soon. there's so many things i've been wanting to blog abt but by the time i come around to sitting in front of the comp, i'm too lazy to do it. haha. :p
oh yea, good news (more for me lah): i jus switched to unlimited broadband for $22 a month! :) speed isn't that fast but at least it's unlimited. yay! haha. :D

what a coincidence. i jus went for a relative's marriage solemnisation ceremony this morning. and i jus read off jasmine's & shikin's blogs that mr goh got married today too!
aww. how sweet. i always wonder at such events, how it'll be like when my turn comes around. hee hee. :p
[edit] met mr lee boon ann on the bus jus now (10/12). said he was going for miss hoo's wedding dinner. read off somewhere about ms chia getting married too...i think. :p apparently it's an auspicious period for marriages around this time. :)

and so i arrived home at 3am this morning.
i'm lazy now to really talk abt yesterday's SDD (nothing much really) but to summarise it all up, SDD was:
i think like everyone was blinded by all the camera flashes and deafened by the speakers already. haha. but most, if not all, looked really nice. :) and at least i pulled off my look better than i had expected. haha. not that i'm egoistic but i tend to be a bit self-conscious when dressing up in the 'girlish' kind of style. haha.
sigh. the size of my photos are SO big. damn hard to upload. anyone want to see my photos then ask me lah huh. hee. :p shall talk more abt SDD later on. :)

thunder? no, fireworks!
as i'm typing this post, there's this rumbling sound in the sky that really sounds like thunder in a big thunderstorm. now here's the 'trick': there's no rain and no lightning!
haha...ok lah, this is so dumb. like read the title also will know what the heck am i talking abt alr. haha. but anyway, the rumbling sounds are the fireworks over at the opening ceremony of Vivocity!! :)
SO. firstly, it goes to show jus how NEAR i stay to Vivocity. (sorry, can't help harping on it cos it's jus abt the only advantage that i have over all the folks who live so near to VJ. :p) and even tho i'm so near, i didn't go down to the opening ceremony cos there is probably TONS of pple there and besides, i've been down there like almost every weekend. can like tell pple where and what are the shops alr. haha. think it was tiq who called me a Vivocity promoter. :p
