life's game of survival

sia lah. i've been so busy this week. not to mention being tired from it all at the end of the week. worse still, i missed my 'Survivor: Fiji' last night cos i was so tired i forgot abt it aft working on the OVA committee stuff and plonked off to bed!!! =( aargh.

next week's gonna be yet another C.R.A.Z.Y week with victorians' day & results coming up. ERPS. >_<>

my consolation is that i get to go bowling with my darlings tmr! fun fun. :)

animated me.

say hello to probably the one-&-only life-sized animated character you'll ever know. yes, me. the crazy fella who goes round living life like mr bean:

walking into pillars.

missing a step off the stairs.

banging my head against the glass panes of shops.

getting into car accidents.

tripping over random stuff.

yadda yadda. :p

and in my latest antics, i jus whacked the corner of the plastic file into my left eye last nite. what an idiot. -.-" lol. :p but anyway, like all goofy characters, nothing serious really happens. :)

chinese new year-urgh !

i seriously cannot stand cny. it being tiring is one thing, but it's irritating when pple do the things they do during cny jus cos it's a traditional obligation and not cos they truly mean it, you know?

one more thing, i'm so gonna whack the next person who bugs me to eat when i've told him/her for the UMPTEENTH time that i'm absolutely full & bursting. some pple jus don't get it. i know it's part of being a good host to offer food to the guest & that a good guest should eat some. (which i did ok!) but i think i'll be doing the host a better favor by refusing subsequent offers...i'd rather be rude than to end up puking on the floor.

cny, btw, is a life cycle that goes like this:

- when you're single, pple either ask if you have a bf or when you're gonna have a bf. (like how would i know when he'll appear??!!)

- when you're attached, pple will ask when the both of you are gonna tie the knot.

- when you're married, pple will ask when you both are planning to have kids.

- and when you finally have kids, pple will either: run off with your kids to play with them, or bombard you with questions abt your kids. (eg. when are they getting a bf/gf) -.-"

this coming from personal experience and observation over the years. lol. :p

haha...this is like the 2nd consecutive post abt tv shows. :p anw, i finally got to catch the entire show - "the victoria secrets fashion show 2006" yesterday!! haha. now now, i didn't watch the show for the products ok! (as if i have the figure & money to wear them! lol.)

but after watching the show, i really think that it should be the dream of all models to be on that runway. yes, it's like THE runway lah. the lightings, the stage design, the set changes, the music, & the product design. (haha.) omg. it's glam, classy, funky, & groovy all in one! damn, they don't even call their models models. they're called 'angels', complete with the elaborate wings. how cool is that man. and i gotta be fair k, those models are really damn pro & damn hawt.

haha...i think it's cool that the programme even shows like the backstage stuff, the models' sharing segment, and life from a model's point of view. lol. like compare with those runway shows you see on tvmobile. milan, paris, chomel, dior, whatever big names you can come up with...it's nothing as entertaining as this. haha. to use songs like sexyback for a runway show really changes the whole mood & atmosphere of the show. the song above was used in the 'heaven-themed' segment. nice lyrics, fits the theme, & well performed. :)

haha. alright. enough gushing abt the technical aesthetics of the show. one day i'm gonna do a stage design jus as glam ok. :p

best in s'pore & JB and some say...

batam! haha. :p

jus watched the grand finale of pck pte ltd. quite emo...& yes, there was a tear in my eye. :'( man, i'm so gonna miss watching the show.

the only 2 sitcoms on channel 5 that i ever liked, which left a deep impression on me, were 'under one roof' & 'PCK pte ltd'. the former stopped running a few years back and now the latter. sigh. channel 5 recently had a showcase of the old sitcoms in celebration of 10 years of award-winning sitcoms...and it was so nice to watch that re-run episode of 'under one roof' and still laugh so heartily. man the show was like more than 10 years ago lah! :p

pity i didn't catch PCK the musical. wanted to but lacked the resources to go watch it. haha. :p oh wells, if they ever choose to stage it again, i'm definitely watching it! darn, doubt i can get to watch phantom of the opera also. >_<

office 101.

have been working with the most infamous woman in my company since yesterday. ugh. one of the worst working experiences i've ever had. no, make that the worst person i've ever worked with. haha. terribly long story to complain abt. :p wanna hear then ask me lah huh. haha.

finished my work today with my hands feeling like they've jus been working with OBS fibreglass kayaks. haha. cos i think got like tons of micro papercuts on my hands so they feel itchy and prickly. ugh. tmr my superiors will be returning from a week-long course, so hopefully i can do other (better) jobs. yay! haha. funny that i should be happy abt my superiors returning. but they're nice pple so yah, not surprising either. :)

tried sth at my office....and currently i hold the record of guessing 3 pple's birthday months correctly on the 1st attempt. and i've correctly identified on the 1st attempt for another 3 pple, if they were born at the start, middle, or end of the year. start being jan-mar, mid being may-jul, end being oct-dec. the rest of the months i call them in-betweens. haha. not bad, looks like i do have a knack of looking at pple's faces & characters to guess when they're born. :)

with the O level results due to be released tmr, there've been pple at the office who either think i'm getting my results tmr (-.-") or keep asking me when the A levels results will be released. then of cos, everyone will follow up with the "which uni & course are you intending to pursue?" question. ugh. -.-"

sigh. i've told SO many pple SO many times that i want to go do animation at NTU. so much so that the more i say, the more i'm scared that i cannot enter the sch. i've been so bent & keen on going to school of adm (art, design & media) that even my so-called 'backup courses' seem jus a temporary alt for me. english? NIE? that's jus abt it for backups. ho hum. pray hard then. :p haha.

Things that make you feel good. :)

laughing so hard your face hurts. (HAHA!!)
a hot shower.
no lines at the supermarket.
finding a $50 note in your jacket pocket months later.
hearing your favourite song on the radio.
lying in bed listening to the rain outside.
a special glance. (ooo... :p)
a good conversation.
midnight phone calls that last for hours.
accidentally overhearing someone say something nice abt you.
waking up and realising you still have a few hrs left to sleep. (YES!!)
road trips with frens.
holding hands with someone you care abt. (aww...)
running into an old fren and realising that some things (good or bad) never change.
watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much desired present from you.
knowing that somebody misses you.
knowing you've done the right thing, no matter what other pple think.

i think this list is 100% true. and i'm glad i've experienced more than half of it. :) :) now that's feeling good!! hahaha! :p

i'm the boss!! (nah, tiq is. :p)

haha. goodness knows what's gotten into me. received waikin's sms abt coucnil gathering at settlers' cafe. then i think i read it, put it aside to think whether to go or not, and then i totally forgot abt it!! haha. until like this morning tiq sms to ask if i'm going then i was like - that sounded kinda familiar... but i couldn't find waikin's msg in my hp anymore!! and i don't recall deleting it cos i thot i put it aside. -.-" hahah. dory fish memory. :p

so anyway, went down to meet the councillors - jas, eq, alvin & waikin at dhoby ghaut to have dinner at yoshinoya. then dawn & david came to join us...jus in time to take away so that we could head over to the mind cafe to play games. :) tiq joined us there. it was ladies' nite on tuesdays so the girls get to play for free! yay. played 'i'm the boss', a game that tests your negotiation and metal calculation skills (LOL.), which tiq won. then played 'seize the bone', a game somewhat like heart attack except that this game can cheat one. haha. the 2nd game was damn disasterious to me lah. cos i was thinking so much that my reaction slowed. ugh. actually the game no need to think one. -.-" haha.

anw, the games wasn't the highlight lah. it's jus nice to meet up with the councillors again, even if it's jus that few. btw, jus realised that it was a fully welco-cum-exco-pple-only reunion. hahah. but then me and tiq left earlier to have a good rest for the next working day so we left the rest to play on. damn, i wanted to try the 'snorta' game and be the frog!! lol. next time then. :p

yay!! go LIONS!!

CONGRATULATIONS to the S'pore national football team, the LIONS!! for winning the ASEAN football championship for the 3rd time!! :) :) really proud of them man!! at least there's sth going for s'pore football. hee hee.

kudos to the thais for playing a good game, especially with keeping possession. aft all, it is a game between the 2 best teams in SEA. cos like there's only 2 teams who have ever won the cup in the tournament's history. thailand & s'pore. so duh. hahah. :p

anyway, it was a 2-1 home win for the Lions in the 1st leg and a 1-1 away draw in the 2nd leg. :) so yup, YAY!! again. hee. :) i support national football k! haha. :p

darling + darling + more darlings :p

haha...today was a nice day out. like can tell from my post title lah huh. :p it's been SSOO long since i last went out shopping with sheryl, cos the last few times we met up were jus for celebrations and driving lessons (including this morning's e-trial test. lol.). haha. anyway, as with all other outing trips we've had, there'll be tons of laughter, lame-ness and freakin' coincidences in the things we do together. lol. :) that's why she's my best shopping buddy. no competition man. :p

aft that, it was meeting up with hwei san who jus returned from m'sia. :) and off to support the charity event that tiq was volunteering at. dinner at breeks with both girls, enqing, yiyun & muzzy. :) ah yes yes, so fun to 'bully' hwei san again aft 2 months. MUAHAHA. (i know you're reading this!) but don't worry, i still love you. (eck. sounds gross. i'm straight hor.) :p lol.

lalala. so that's one saturday gone. but i got extended weekend cos the staff in my dept going for course on mon so i no need to go to work also. -.-" hai. so got rest but no pay lor. haha. well, case of the glass being half-full or half-empty. :p
