If love were liquid it would drown me,
In a placeless place would find me,
In a heart shape come around me and then,
Melt me slowly down,
If love were human it would know me,
In a lost space come and show me,
Hold me and control me and then,
Melt me slowly down,
Like chocolate.

>_<
JC life, i swear, is a 2-year long recurring nightmare.
I'm jus hanging in the middle of nowhere, hanging by the grit of my teeth on pure faith & determination. yet there's an air of uncertainty, of fear perhaps.
emo. weak. crazy. stupid. whatever. either way it sucks.

did i leave out any places? the brackets show the no. of times i went to the same place over the 7 days. hee, yes it's a lot a lot of places but i literally jus hopped in and out of a few of those places cos i was on a hunt for some specific stuff so yah, hop hop. haha. the few days of intense walking has kinda taken its toll on my legs. my right shin feels strained. tsk. so unfit. bah, but that didn't stop me from going back to sch to play floorball this morning. :p
lunch for 6 consecutive days was fast food, all macdonalds food except the day i went out with tiq, when we ate long john silver's. and out of the 5 macs meals, i ate 4 mcspicy burgers. haha. my mum works at tiong bahru plaza macs, that's why i'm there everyday for my lunch with her. :)
and YES! my 2nd attempt at cooking cod fish with lemon butter sauce was a much greater success yesterday. :) it's gonna be one of the dishes served on the table come next chinese new year reunion dinner. hee.
shopping alone can be quite fun actually. you don't have to wait to meet anyone, wait for them to go to the washroom, wait for them to finish looking at sth, etc. you can walk at your own pace, go anywhere without qualms and for someone like me, to go at top speed. hee. but of course, being alone means there's no one for second opinions, no one to restrict your spending, no one to share the funny stuff you see along the way, and no one to chat with. hai. I WANT MY SHOPPING BUDDIES!! :p
tmr's back-to-sch day. sigh. the only thing i'm looking forward to is replacing the juniors at morning duty since they are having their promos. (yes, i love my council!) haha. tennis gate duty i think. see me there! :p other than that, i think the other 'highlight' is that we're getting back our math paper which is like BLEAGH. what the heck lah. haha.

suntec city to
great world city to
bugis!
met a lot of familiar faces along the way as usual. hahaha...sounds like fun when it's listed out like that. i shall compile all the shopping places i've been during this post-prelim hols on wednesday or thursday. yea, i'm that crazy. :p

oh gosh.
ok, after yesterday's frenzy along orchard road, i went out with tiq today along orchard road again. slightly better though cos we were going at a much slower pace and looking at a lot of shops and stuff (makes you wonder what hyper speed i was going at ytd...lol) but it's a saturday so it was really crowded. but oh what the heck. crowds don't really bother me. most imptly at least tiq found sth she likes. :) hahah.
SO! i left the house at 12.30pm, and i returned only at like 11.30pm. freakin' 11 hours out. besides walking like a lot a lot of kilometres shopping, i made a few 100-metre dashes aft tiq left cos i had to settle some stuff before meeting my parents & relatives. plus i had to go up to my relatives' house aft shopping to help them out with some computer stuff. hence arriving home at some horribly late hour.
trashed. can't believe i'm starting to get a bit tired of going out. then again, when tmr comes around, i'll be itching to go out....yes, again. hahaha. :p

phew!
wah, post-prelim is no joke man. yea, it's fun but damn tiring. hee. i've been flying all over the place trying to find material and resources for my project. today alone i spanned almost the whole of orchard road, from wisma to centrepoint, and also went to chinatown, queensway shopping centre and tiong bahru plaza. gotta make a trip to suntec over the weekend too.
tmr i'm going out prom-shopping with tiq at the orchard/cityhall area, so i'll be back there again. lol. happened to meet sheryl at taka gramophone today. damn surprised lah. hahaha. O.o met my sec sch lab technician, mr tang, at chinatown also. hee. i seem to be crashing into a lot of familiar faces cos these two weren't the only ones but i lazy to mention the rest here. :p
ugh. my internet's going at snail's pace again. so annoying. shall come back online later to see if things get any better.

unleash the animal within.
prelims are OVER!!! YYESSHH!! time to head out to town and party!!
shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep (explore some new stuff) shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep (explore some more new stuff) shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep shop eat play sleep
waHAHAHA. now that's what i call a life. :)
post-prelim is jus a whole bullet of trains of events & things to do that come rushing your way. lol. meeting up with pple, going shopping to catch up, and my personal fav is starting work on personal projects. every year, i'll always do at least a few "projects" of my own, usually a lot more. they're generally craft stuff as gifts to pple, but occasionally i work on multimedia like video. :) card-making, ornamental stuff, surprise parties, small projects, big projects blah blah. in fact, i have one that i've kinda shelved cos it was too big a task - making my own x'mas tree. the materials are all still in my room, jus waiting for the chance for me to work on it again.
currently embarking on a new one, pretty huge with a big price tag to it also. hope i can pull this one off successfully in time before A levels. hee. oh but before that big one, i actually attempted cooking a dish for dinner today! lol. cod fish with lemon butter sauce. this coming from a girl whose best attempts at cooking are only scrambled eggs & spagetti. hahah. but all in all, it didn't turn out too badly. the fish was cooked jus right, and the sauce was absolutely fragrant! only problem was that it was too oily too. hahah. till next time to correct that. :p

mid-prelim breather!
warning: rants and nonsensical blabbering ahead. proceed with caution. :p
alright, the 1st week of prelims is OVER! that's like 6 papers down and 5 more to go (of which 3 are mcq. :)) yes, so let's start from the beginning:
1st paper was bio2 on monday, and what a better way to screw up the prelims by thinking that it was bio1 all throughout the sept hols. -.-" it was only like sat night that i realised it was PAPER 2 which is structured & essay and not mcq. like omg. and i crammed like half the bio syllabus in 2 days. ugh. then i made it worse cos there was so little time for the paper and i took so long for the questions that when i finally started on the essay section (write 2 20-mark essays), the teacher announced that there was 15min left. like WOW. apparently everyone else had insufficient time so hopefully everyone's the same on average. (yah, i wish!) haha.
on the same day was maths1, which is like my cursed subject or sth. as usual, it was more of a flip-dunno, flip-dunno kind of paper. basically screwed up also lah, considering i couldn't even do some of the 1-mark, 2-mark questions. my best bet is probably the 5-mark numerical methods question. haha. one of my classmates left even before the paper was halfway through. made me so tempted to give up also. but of cos i didn't. so there goes my 1st day of prelims, which left me so utterly disappointed, depressed and trashed that i had a good mind to give up A levels altogether. considering the next day was chem3 (essay), which i haven't studied for yet, things really looked bleak.
but surprise surprise, chem3 turned out to be a moral booster. ok, don't compare me against those S paper, chem-sure-get-A kind of students. given the fact that i have consistently failed chem, this was like one of the best chem essay papers i've done. not sure if the answers are correct but at least i get to write sth down. the previous papers were all blanks (like math). haha. then again, 2 days later, whatever 'extra' marks that i could have gotten in chem3 was eroded away in chem2. guess i'm back to square one. but at least it boosted my moral at the crucial time. :p
econ3 was on the same day as chem 2, ie thursday. so aft the bad chem2 paper, me and tiq went to macs for breakfast to cheer ourselves up 1st. haha. studying econ with eq, queen, grace, tiq, and some other 22nds in the council room was quite fun and fruitful. we were applying econs to like everything else not linked to econs. haha. econ3 was quite ok, and i thought it was quite good that i actually managed to finish the 3 essays to reasonable length in the time allocated (45min per essay). :) another satisfying paper. jus hope the teachers think the same way as me. :p ah yes, i forgot, some fella left the handphone on loud mode, and some fella kept calling throughout the 2hr 45min paper, resulting in an annoying non-stop ringing in the hall. ugh, wth. dunno why the teachers only chose to identify and bring the bag away only in the last 2 min of the exam. -.-"
next day was maths2, which included stats. section A on pure maths was ok, i thought. it was more of section D on stats that really stumped me. (that same classmate of mine walked out halfway again. :p) but oh well, i've been stumped by maths so many times that it doesn't seem surprising. haha. aft all, screwed up maths1 alr, plus even if i thought i did ok, the teachers seem to think otherwise. :p
so that's that for this week. bulk of next week's paper is econ2 (drq & case study), and bio3, which is the same as bio2 but with the option topic. gulp. haha. that reminds me, i ought to be mugging now. :p

slipping into a state of conscious unconsciousness
a state of the mind & body after mugging where i dunno what i'm doing and why i'm doing it. side effects include heavy heads along, with trashing headaches. it's hard to get to sleep at night cos even tho i'm mentally tired, the mind is trained to keep going, pretty much blindly. sit, stare, mind blank. i know i have to continue mugging cos i'm so far back in my revision, but it's quite impossible to continue aft a long day of mugging alr. 3 quarters through with econs, one-third through bio, and neither here nor there with chem & maths.
robot-like? perhaps. i'm having trouble comprehending when someone starts talking to me alr. sometimes i don't even hear them. the blank silence in my head is deafening.

pause for a while...& spend a penny on your thoughts
i should think most pple would have read/heard the news that steve irwin has passed away after an attack from a sting ray during one of his filmings. the news may have come from down under, which isn't exactly very near to us, but it has certainly affected quite a number of pple. i've found abt 7 or 8 pple on my msn contacts who have put the little turtle there in memory of him. like me, i believe most of us felt that it's really a pity that such an unfortunate event happened.
it's not the first time where a famous personality has passed away in such a heart-wretching manner that i've heard or seen but everytime sth like this happens, it makes me stop and think abt what i'm doing with my life, and jus how vulnerable it can be sometimes. yea, there may be pple out there thinking that i think too much, that i over-worry, or jus plain emotional. it's ok, i know that those who choose to spend a penny on their thoughts like me know that there's some greater insight to be gained from it.
i don't exactly advocate questions like "if you could live for only 1 more week, what would you do?" no, these only make us pessimistic abt life and only show us what we alr value. what is more impt is appreciating things we have overlooked, and showing gratefulness for what we have that we cherish. continuing to live life to the fullest, without regrets. sure, for us muggers now, we probably think it's a crappy life (i think so too!), nth great worth remembering, sth that we jus can't wait to get over with. but maybe, jus maybe, it will lead to sth good, sth great, someone that will impact lives of many in one way or another.
as most examples of the passing of a famous person show, there'll be more pple appreciating them, idolising them, only aft they are gone. steve irwin himself has be criticised and shoved into many controversial yet trivial matters countless times and yet the world comes together to mourn for someone who has no doubt contributed much to conservation efforts. only the narrow-minded would mind the little mistakes that a person has done.
so go ahead, (before it's too late!) show your gratitute and appreciation to someone today! forgive & forget the bad stuff... remember, share & cherish the good times together! :) :)

Happy Teachers' Day!
for the 1st time in my entire 14 years of schooling have i not prepared anything for any teacher for teachers' day. on top of that, i didn't even return to my pri nor sec sch. hai, the whole prelim-mugging & video-editing business has pretty much prevented me from doing so. it is a BIG thing that i didn't do anything cos teachers' day has been my excuse for going on an island-wide sch tour to visit my teachers not only at my own schools, but those who have transferred out to other schools too. yup, that's how loyal i am to the pple who have made huge differences in my life. at least i sent out a happy teachers' day msg to all my teacher-friends this morning. :) (hey, i'm fair to all of them ok? :p)
well, the only other thing i did was to go back to VJ ytd to join in the teachers' celebrations cos i heard of some interesting programmes by the teachers. was a bit surprised to see so many seniors back in sch tho. hee. i kinda dragged san back to sch to accompany me. :p dunno abt her but i thought it was quite worth it to come back jus for the celebrations. the teachers-in-disguise game alone was good enough. my goodness, the biggest shocker of all was to see mr. seet dressed as miss rajan. sufficient to leave the sch screaming & laughing for a full 3 min or so. lol. they even included mrs chan and miss jancy, which livened up the thing quite a bit. the game was so 'controversial', it made christine say this which i thought was really funny: "omg. what in the world is VJ doing to its male teachers?!" lol. yea, i wonder too.
the other highlight was mr tan yh singing some hokkien song on stage with the rest of the pe dept as dancers. haha. some of the guys were wearing wigs. :p quite nice to see the pe dept in white tops & denim for a change. the female teachers looked quite hot. heh. :p other good stuff were the prank videos (rmb last yr's one? :p) & the skit put up by the new teachers, which i thought was good effort on their part tho i dunno them. :) the rest of the programme was either ookkayy lah, or jus plain -.-". haha. oh yes, and must complain abt the year 1s: why no mass dance??!! ugh.
jus found 2 pictures of myself on cosiety taken during national day. haha. damn funny. haven't seen some people for some time alr. quite sad leh. bah. everyone's mugging. i haven't been eating well & feeling damn sian these few days. bleah. i think the subconscious stress is getting to me. :( anyway, here's wishing all teachers a Happy Teachers' Day! :)
