If love were liquid it would drown me,
In a placeless place would find me,
In a heart shape come around me and then,
Melt me slowly down,
If love were human it would know me,
In a lost space come and show me,
Hold me and control me and then,
Melt me slowly down,
Like chocolate.

the first of things to come.
Dear YAP SHE FONG
Congratulations! We are delighted to offer you admission into SMU's Bachelor of Science (Information Systems Management)) programme at our School of Information Systems (SIS) for the Academic Year 2007-2008.
Competition for places at SMU gets more intensive each year, and only one in eight applicants gets selected. You should be proud of your achievement.
exactly as it came.....capslock, bold, typo errors and all.
a side achievement no less, but the one letter to make or break me has yet to arrive.

sigh. i really really REALLY miss playing on the field. anyone willing to take me in? hahah. even if there's a "yes" somewhere, the feeling's just different from what i've been thru with VJSG 05/06. well, the juniors (& grand-juniors. lol.) have kicked off (pun unintended.) their new season today with their first match at Farrer Park, against SRJC. congrats to them for the good win achieved today! hope they may carry forward with the champions' luck from last year. =)
even the place of the match today brings back, well, 'fond' memories. hahaha. the Farrer Park field was one of the 2 fields used during our first season in 2005 (i'm quite sure the pioneer seniors can recall this terribly well. lol.). and as far as i can remember, it was a very sandy place (read: lumps of sand across the field!!) with sparse grass, which would get waterlogged during rainy weather. hahah. terrible place to play. i certainly hope the conditions there have gotten better, or at the very least, have not gotten worse. that very field was also where i had scored my 2nd goal, in the last game of the season. =)
in other news, i found out in the newspaper on sunday that my idol, Flora Chan (Hong Kong actress), is pregnant!! like omg. sure comes as a pleasant surprise, but just as i'm looking forward to her new scheduled-to-be-filmed drama series with TVB (which is a rare collaboration now that she's not with TVB), news of her pregnancy comes with further news that she won't be able to continue with the filming hence. ah wells. at least there's sth to be happy abt. =)
a little bit abt my work...since san is so uptight abt me. hahaha. anyway, i conclude that i can't survive long-term in a bank office. lol. i've screwed up so many things alr and sometimes it can be quite bugging when colleagues generally assume my knowledge. hmmm. but i guess the pple here are still quite patient with me lah. thank goodness i'm only a temp staff. lol. =P otherwise, i can still cope with the workload. a bit overwhelming at times yet i'll get it done eventually so yea, can lah. jus get damn tired at the end of the day. hahah.
i realise i'm currently studying (driving theory), teaching (chinese) & working (at BNS) all at the same time. O.o like some wonderwoman like that. hahaha. well, tmr's just another workday.

hear ye, hear ye!
well, if you have been faithfully following my blogs either at blogspot or at livejournal, firstly thank you for dropping by. secondly, you might have noticed that there's been a sudden influx of posts at blogspot, while my lj frens might have noticed a couple of shuffles in their 'friends' page. no, there's nothing wrong with your computers. it's jus that i've been really busy the last couple of weeks so haven't had the time to sit down and type all my thoughts out (esp when so much has been going on so there's so much to say). yup, i've finally gotten down to putting up (pun unintended. lol.) all my posts. so for pple who have been bugging me to update my blog (*ehem* to a particular seow hwei san), have fun reading! on a side note, lj folks might wanna jus click the link to my lj so that it's easier to read everything. haha. =)
anyway, i know i've been rather down for the last few days also, which i think is pretty obvious in my backposts. but like what i said, they are backposts, and i'm currently feeling better alr, so if you're concerned, don't worry and thanks. =)
now on to my regular post. hee. went for musicfest yesterday with some of the 22nds. as with the school (council) tradition, musicfest was a blast and it was so much fun grooving to the show. there was a new category for MTVs this year, so it made the event more interesting and fun. but of cos, that meant that the event ended much later also. haha. =P well, at least it justifies the increased price of $12! hahaha. thank goodness i'm a council senior, if not ah, damn hard to get tickets one leh! many thanks to tiq for the hug and flowers! certainly brightened up my day. =)
upcoming council event: the 24th Students' Council Investiture!! so exciting! *whee*

faculty test + interview.
so much for saying that having the passion for something will get you somewhere. yeah i know that i'm crazy enough to apply for a course that has the MOST application prerequisites (read: A level results, online application, portfolio, video, essay & faculty test) but i thought that the fact that i had the passion to study for it would help me thru all of it. yes, very much so to a great extent, esp when it came to the portfolio. but sigh, i think whatever confidence i had before the faculty test has been pretty much eroded off by the test itself.
(a) i can't draw still life for nuts.
(b) i could barely finish the 3 questions in 1.5hrs,
(c) which as a result, the last part of my last question is anyhow whack one.
(d) i had no idea what the heck i was doing/writing for my 2nd answer.
hahahahah. and the first question being the "drawing still life" question, it's demoralising to see that the other pple in the lecture theatre can produce an absolutely superb drawing of their own hand (that's the qns) in 30min!!! omg. and my own drawing in comparison...dunno where to hide my face man. hahaha. =p heck lah, anyhow whack to the best of my abilities then hope some miracle happens lah. hahaha.
aft the faculty test, it was off to rush for the SMU interview, a compulsory part of my application to the Information Systems Management course. (see how troublesome my uni applications are? and i don't even know how it got so screwed up. lol.) the stupid interview took 2 hrs, and i didn't even have the time to take my lunch before that so HUR HUR, my stomach was taking over the functions of my brain. haha. guess the interview was okayy, except the part where i totally screwed up my math in "estimation qns" part. haha. heck lah, not as if this course is my 1st choice anyway. haha.
now it's jus left to wait and see. hmm.

bright lights.
Baby, baby, baby When all your love is gone, Who will save me From all I'm up against out in this world? Maybe, maybe, maybe You'll find something that's enough to keep you, But if the bright lights don't receive you, You should turn yourself around and come on home ok ok, i admit it. i'm not as adaptable as i think i am, and possibly not as okay as i seem to be. yes, i'm aware that i'm 'subconciously' stressed at the moment, but it's not cause i can't cope with the work at my new office. call me silly but i can't seem to adapt to the commercial-area-office life. damn, i can't even survive lunchtime, like to find a place to eat in the sea of pple. my office feels a little claustrophobic to me (maybe cos my old office boasts a much larger table and space) and i'm really really sensitive when pple in my dept start talking behind my back, as well as to other things that happen around in the office.
jus went out to watch Mr. Bean's Holiday with my dearies today. and as the credits scrolled, i was suddenly struck, like a little kid in awe, about how much i really want to see my name in the scrolling credits on the big screen. one day. some day.
ah wells. i jus think that there's too many changes and too many uncertainties in my life right now, such that i can't find a place/person to be constantly close-by to be my sense of security. i know there are many pple out there who'll always support me, but still, the distance is there and it'll still be different from the past when we were constantly together. so pardon me if i seem very quiet these days. i know it's not me but i need time to adjust and find myself in the CBD area. meanwhile, music in my mp3 player shall be my source of comfort.
freaking emo kid who thinks wayyy too much.

a new chapter.
today's my last day of work at NLB LSC (National Library Board, Library Supply Centre) and tmr's gonna be a new chapter at my new job with the Bank of Nova Scotia. goodbye to the days of chasing the trains at tanah merah/expo, flooded "grandfather-roads", t-shirt & jeans, and lack of lunchfood variety! hahahaha. ok lah, it's not that the work environment here at LSC is that bad that i wanna switch jobs. in fact, i think my colleagues here are so sweet, i can't bear to leave them also. (awww.) but it's a rare chance that i get to work in the real "office-life", knowing that it's really not my thing aft i graduate from uni. so here goes, purely for job experience's sake.
hahaha. this LSC job stint i would say, is worthy of the title as "my first job". ok, let me rephrase that. i'm proud to say that my first job was at LSC! hahah. really. i mean, look, firstly for someone whose chinese is not exactly very good compared to her peers, i was actually in the CHINESE dept. so much for stepping out of my comfort zone. hee. secondly, my presence there has really made an impact. ego aside, there are times i felt that i'm like some "light" that fell upon them. yeah, imagine some chorus singing in the background, then this spotlight opens from the sky, followed by some fella in the brown coat that falls face-first on the ground. hahaha!!! (if you still don't get the joke, that's the opening scene of mr. bean!!) no lah, but then looking back that the amount of work/non-work-related stuff that i've done for them, plus the great relationship that i share with them, i'm quite satisfied with my time there. :) jus perhaps a little disappointed that all the part-time staff weren't around today cos it's stock-taking day so i don't get to see all of them on my last day. oh wells.
so yup, tmr. hmm. a little nervous. like hello to the days of office wear, jam-packed mrt trains, rush-hour lunches and younger colleagues!! hahahaa. wish me luck man. :p
oh yeah, for all you 22nds councillors who didn't turn up for MONOCHROME@ the Hougang Istana, catch up on what happened here: http://thewajco.blogspot.com. do come down for the council gatherings if you can ok?? really would like to catch up with everyone as a group. and for those of you who are still in the dark on what the Hougang Istana (haha.) is....shame on you!!! (jus kiddin!) it's alvin's house lah....so don't think it's some club ah. hahaha. =p
